Topic: Natural Gas: An Energy Game Changer
Speaker: Anthony W. Muhlenkamp, President, Muhlenkamp & Company, Inc.
The price spread between natural gas and crude oil has widened significantly as a result of technological innovations in shale drilling. We now have a decent shot at cutting the cost of energy in this country in half during the current decade. Supported by low prices and plentiful supplies, natural gas markets will grow substantially, including power generation, over-the-road trucking and liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports. An inventory of shut-in wells will likely assure low prices for years to come and petrochemicals will continue to expand, with emphasis on downstream products. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) exports will continue to increase, with the U.S. playing a key role. Learn more about this expanding sector in this presentation by Tony Muhlenkamp.
